Objective of EQA
The International Academy of Pathology, Thailand Division (IAP-Thailand), has established an External Quality Assessment (EQA) program to evaluate and enhance the quality of anatomical pathology services. This initiative focuses on diagnostic surgical pathology, aiming to strengthen diagnostic confidence among practicing pathologists while supporting laboratory accreditation and hospital quality assurance.
Through a structured evaluation process, the EQA program identifies areas for improvement, promotes adherence to best practices, and maintains the highest professional standards. It also facilitates continuous professional development by helping pathologists refine their diagnostic skills and fostering collaboration among participating institutions. These interactions encourage knowledge sharing and keep pathologists updated on advancements in the field.
Ultimately, this initiative represents a significant step toward promoting excellence in anatomical pathology in Thailand.
